Why qualification is the whole product

In a pay-per-lead relationship, qualification is not admin — it is the thing you are buying. A documented process is what separates a lead worth £150 from a name on a spreadsheet.

Stage 1 — Define the ideal customer profile in writing

Industry, employee count, revenue band, geography, technology in use, and the trigger events that make a purchase likely. Everything downstream is measured against this document, so vague criteria here guarantee disputes later.

Stage 2 — Set hard disqualifiers

Disqualifiers do more work than qualifiers. Common ones: no budget authority, contract locked for more than twelve months, outside service area, existing customer, competitor, or a requirement you cannot deliver. Any single hit removes the record before a human spends time on it.

Stage 3 — Score intent, not enthusiasm

Ask about timeline, current provider, and what has already been tried. "Sounds interesting, send me something" is not intent. A stated timeframe, a named problem and an acknowledged budget are.

Stage 4 — Verify before delivery

Every lead should carry a verified direct contact method, a recorded or written confirmation of interest, and the answers to your qualifying questions. Verification is the step most cheap providers skip.

Stage 5 — Hand over with context

Deliver into the CRM within minutes, with the qualification answers attached and a one-line summary of what the prospect actually asked for. A lead delivered without context is re-qualified by your rep, which is work you already paid for.

The fields we deliver as standard

    • Full name, role and decision-making authority
    • Verified phone and email
    • Company, sector and size
    • Stated requirement and timeline
    • Budget indication or range
    • Source, timestamp and consent record

Measure the process, not the volume

Track acceptance rate, contact rate, opportunity rate and close rate by cohort. If acceptance is high but close rate is low, the criteria are wrong. If acceptance is low, delivery is wrong. Both are fixable within a fortnight when the process is written down.
